Emergency Responders

Responding to a Pipeline Emergency

Although transportation by pipeline is one of the safest modes of transportation available, it is still important to be prepared to handle specific emergency response requirements should a pipeline accident occur. Tallgrass’ primary concern in dealing with a natural gas or crude oil pipeline facility emergency is safety. A safe response to a pipeline emergency requires coordinated efforts by emergency response agencies and industry experts in order to provide the desired safeguards that will ensure the safety of people, the environment and property.

Our Emergency Response Plans document team member roles and responsibilities, including our capabilities and resources available for responding to a pipeline emergency. Together we must plan and prepare for emergencies with the common goal of preventing injuries, while keeping the public informed.
